Lisa D and I were chatting about the portrait site she posted the other day on WL
and thought it might be a good weekly photo challenge topic; ie. indoor portraits.
Any other ideas?
On a totally unrelated topic, I was inspired to check for spider webs after looking at Keri's photos and
since we have tons of spiders here.....
No good web shots but here's a banana spider taken with my 100mm f2.8 lens using a monopod.
1/2000 af f2.8 - Here's a hint on exposure. I knew my meter would over expose the spider's abdomen
given the dark background so I started with -1 stop. Ended up at -2 and even then had to be darken it a bit
with PS.

Can we hold on the indoor portrait challenge for a weekish?
I'm a travelin' man...travelin' on down tha long an' lonesome hiiiiiii-way
Yes, I'm a travelllllllin' maaaaan
If we could hold off on the indoor portrait challenge I'd be able to participate when I get back from my cross-country journey.
How about a 'roadside' challenge? Photos taken from the edge you might say.
I found this one to be rrepresentative -
Just axin'
Road Side Challenge
Sounds like a challenge to me. Let's do it.

I'll upload it to my own site and see if that helps
Unfortunatly, I won't be able to do that for a day or so - I'm in Sikeston, MO as of 3am local, headed west at a not very dramatic pace.
I'll be photo graphing stuff enroute.

"X" marks the sport
The dreaded Red X is all I see as well, both at home and at work. Weird.

This is about 20 yards off
This is about 20 yards off a road. The road is not paved and goes by a four-digit FS road number, but technically I think it's still a road
Shot last Wednesday in the Ochoco NF (Silvies unit) with Fuji Superia 100, f1.7 at 1/30th (I think).
