Six Random Things

Six random things you didn't know about me:

  • My shoe size is 10.5 EEEE. Not that my foot is really wide so much as "thick". High instep. New Balance makes a few styles in that width, and so does Nike. Famous Footwear stocks a few.
  • I was the Trainer (supplies and equipment manager, minor first aid) for my high school football team for a couple of years. So my nickname around all my contemporaries was "Doc".
  • My uncle Chuck, Dad's brother was a doctor. He advised his sons (and me) not to become doctors. As a teenager, I really wanted to be a lawyer. I eventually figured out that what I was so passionate about actually was justice, and that had very little to do with lawyering.
  • I drink a 6oz glass of Clamato (99% clam-free!) every morning.
  • Since I started wearing glasses (around 1997), I read a lot less. It's just a lot less pleasant to have to hold my head and the book in a small range of relative positions in order to see it. And reading in bed with glasses just sucks. I listen to a lot more spoken audio - podcasts, audiobooks, and so on. NOT talk radio.
  • I like to keep a nice, green, trimmed lawn with neat, tidy landscaping. I'm not a gardening fan and don't consider the process a hobby, I just like it to look nice and be inviting.

The Rules!

From my tagger Kathy Gill (who credited Dave Delaney):

  2. Post the rules on the blog.
  3. Write six random things about yourself.
  4. Tag six people at the end of your post.
  5. Let each person know they have been tagged.
  6. Let the tagger know when your entry is up.

These people are now "it":
