| Ingredients: | 4 c rolled oats
4 c water 2 c water 1 c honey 2 c cream or half & half 4 c scotch or irish whiskey |
||
| Preparation: | Mix oats and 4 cups water in a bowl and let sit over night.
In the morning: add two cups of water and let sit for 4 hours or so. STRAIN the oats out and DISCARD the oats. What works best is to put the oats in cheese cloth. After done soaking squeeze any moisture out of the oats and discard. Mix with remainder of ingredients and put it in the fridge. It'll keep for a couple of months, but starts to look ugly when it separates. Just shake it up before anyone sees it. Also don't use really smokey or peaty scotch. I find the cheapest is some of the best. |
