|Ingredients:||3 Cup Flour
2 Cup Sugar
6 TBS cocoa
2 TSP Baking Soda
2 TSP Salt
3/4 Cup Vegetable oil
2 TBS Vinegar
2 TSP Vanilla
2 Cups cold water
1 1/2 Cup Sugar
6 TBS Butter
6 TBS Milk (can sub soy/ rice milk)
1 Cup Chocolate chips
|Preparation:||Preheat oven to 350.
Put dry ingredients into ungreased 8x11 pan. Stir with fork to blend.
Make 3 wells/ holes, and put oil in one, vinegar in one, and vanilla in one.
Pour water over all and stir with fork to distribute. Do Not Beat, just stir. Bake 350 for 30-35 minutes or until inserted toothpick comes out clean.
Put sugar, butter, and milk in a saucepan. Bring to a rolling boil, stirring. Boil 30 seconds. Remove from heat and stir in chocolate chips to melt. Spread on warm cake.
|Notes:||This is a huge cake, I usually halve the recipe. I have substituted other sugar products to good effect.|
