Ingredients:1 lb chopped parsnips
1 lb chopped carrots
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
2 Tbsp butter
Preparation:Boil the vegetables until soft; drain off the water. Mash them together with the spices and butter; serve hot.
Notes:Note: this dish is also in one of the Cosin ms. menus, though no recipe is provided...

Expansion to serve 130: 7 lbs parsnips, 7 lbs carrots, 2 Tbsp + 1 tsp cinnamon, 3-1/2 tsp nutmeg, 1-2/3 cubes butter.
