Ingredients: | Cream together
1/2 C milk 1 1/2 C sugar 2 eggs Separately mix 2 T cocoa 2 OZ Red food color (!) Add to the milk/sugar mixture. Sift 2 1/4 C flour 1/2 tsp salt Then blend with 1C buttermilk milk/sugar blend Separately blend 1 tsp baking soda 1 T vinegar Stir into batter and pour into 2 cake layer pans. Bake at 350 for 25-30 minutes. FROSTING Cook until thick, then cool 1C milk 3T Flour Beat 1C bar sugar (extra fine granulated sugar) 1C butter 1tsp vanilla cooled milk mixture |
