Ingredients: | Butter
3 c cornbread crumbs 1.5 c bread crumbs or saltines 1-2 onions, chopped 2 stalks (or more) celery, chopped 1/2 tsp thyme 1 Tbsp chopped sage Salt Freshly ground black pepper 2 tsp poultry seasoning 4 eggs, beaten 2.5 - 3 c chicken stock |
||
Preparation: | Preheat oven to 500 degrees. Grease 9x13 baking dish with butter.
Mix dry, onions and celery ingredients in bowl. Add eggs; mix. Add chicken stock; mix. Pour into baking dish. Bake until browned, about 30 minutes. This is a moist dressing. |
||
Notes: | Most recipes call for cooking the onion and celery; my mother
didn't, so I don't. This means that there is a very slight "crunch" or texture to the dressing. |
