Preparation: | Twinkie Preparation:
Place Twinkie in refrigerator for cooling. Roll in flour, then roll in a batter of flour, vinegar, baking powder, salt and water. Batter should be mixed until it is the consistency of a custard. Drop the battered Twinkie into an industrial deep fryer for about 90 seconds, just until the filling is starting to melt and the outside is a "nice golden brown". Top with powdered sugar, cut in half on the bias, and serve with a four-berry coulis. Coulis Preparation: Put equal quantities of frozen raspberries, blackberries, strawberries and blueberries into a pan on low heat with a tablespoon of sugar per each cup of berries used. When mixture begins to boil, put it into a blender. Then put it through a sieve. Push through the berry pulp. |
