Ingredients:1 lb dried navy beans, soaked overnight
1 large onion sliced
1 bay leaf
1/2 lb smoked butt

1/2 c ketchup
1/4 c molasses
2 Tbsp brown sugar
1 Tbsp worchestershire sauce
2 tsp salt if no pickled meat
1 T vinegar
large pinch each cinnamon and cloves
Preparation:Simmer beans, onions, bay leaf and meat for 1 hour. Liquid should be mostly absorbed.
Combine with remaining ingredients, bake in beanpot or covered casserole for 8 hours at 250 degrees.
Stir occasionally, add a little water if dry.
