Ingredients:2 C beans, soaked overnight (or boiled 2 minutes, soaked 1 hour)
2 1/2 Qt water
1 hambone

1/4 t liquid smoke (unless ham is well smoked)
3 onions
1 small bunch celery with leaves
1 clove garlic
1/4 C parsley
Preparation:Simmer beans with ham hock 2 hours or until tender.
Process other ingredients with a couple of cupsful of the beans and their liquid.
Cook 1 more hour.
