Ingredients: | Crust:
1 1/2 cup flour 1/2 cup brown sugar 1/2 cup butter, softened (See NOTE 1) Filling: 1 cup chopped pecans 3/4 cup white sugar 3/4 cup corn syrup 2 Tablespoons butter, melted 1 Tablespoon bourbon, optional 1/2 teaspoon vanilla 3 eggs, beaten 1 small bag (6 oz.) chocolate chips |
||
Preparation: | 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees (325 is dark or nonstick pan). Beat flour, brown sugar, and butter for crust in large bowl. Press mixture onto the bottom and 1/2 inch up sides of a 13x9 ungreased pan. Bake 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
2. Stir remaining ingredients together for filling, until well mixed. Pour over baked crust. 3. Bake 30-35 minutes until set. Cool 15 minutes. Refrigerate 1 hour until firm. Store in fridge. |

Notes: | NOTE 1: (I found it necessary to use SLIGHTLY more
than this for the right consistency) NOTE 2: (don't use more than an 8 oz. package of chips, I used 8 oz. and it was a little much. You may also want to add slightly more nuts, in my opinion) |
